بذلت الأونروا خلال الاسابيع الماضية جهودا مكثفة لتأمين التمويل اللازم لدورة المساعدات النقدية التي ستغطي الفصل الأول من السنة.
وقد حصلت الوكالة على تمويل استثنائي سيُمكّنها من توزيع المساعدات النقدية على جميع الأشخاص المستفيدين سلفا. ولكن نظرا لاستمرار نقص التمويل في أعقاب تجميد التمويل للأونروا من قبل بعض المانحين الرئيسيين للوكالة، وعلى الرغم من تجديد التزامات التمويل من قبل بعض المانحين، إلا أن الأونروا لم تتمكن حتى الآن من تأمين المبلغ الكامل للمساعدات النقدية كما كانت توزع في السابق .
بناء على ذلك، سيحصل لاجئو فلسطين من لبنان المسجلون في برنامج شبكة الأمان الاجتماعي والأشخاص المدرجون ضمن الفئات الاكثر حاجة (الأطفال، كبار السن، الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، والمصابون بأمراض مزمنة المعرف عنها سلفا) على 30 دولارًا للشخص الواحد عن أشهر كانون الثاني/يناير وشباط/فبراير وآذار/مارس 2024. وستواصل الأونروا بذل كل الجهود لتأمين التمويل الكافي للدورات المقبلة من المساعدات النقدية، وستستمر الوكالة في سعيها لدفع مبلغ 50 دولارًا للشخص الواحد من اللاجئين المستحقين. نتمنى من مجتمع لاجئي فلسطين أن يتفهم محدودية موارد الوكالة في هذه الأوقات الصعبة للغاية، ونحن ندرك تمامًا الصعوبات التي يواجهها الكثيرون كل يوم.
بالنسبة للاجئي فلسطين من سوريا، فقد تم تأمين التمويل الكافي لتوزيع المساعدات النقدية عن شهري آذار/مارس ونيسان/أبريل بمبلغ 25 دولارًا للشخص الواحد شهريًا و60 دولارًا لكل عائلة شهريًا.
تعلن الوكالة أن توزيع المساعدات النقدية سيبدأ تدريجيا خلال الأسبوع الأول من شهر نيسان/أبريل، قبل عيد الفطر. سيتم الإعلان عن مزيد من التفاصيل حول التواريخ المحددة في الأيام المقبلة.
Message from UNRWA on the payment of cash assistance to Palestine refugees in Lebanon

Over the past weeks, UNRWA has made extensive efforts to secure the necessary funding for the cash assistance round due in Q1.
The Agency has received an exceptional allocation that will now allow for distribution of cash to all previously eligible persons. However, due to the continued shortage of funding following the freeze of funding to UNRWA by some of its key donors, and despite the renewed funding commitments by some donors, UNRWA has not until now been able to secure the full amount of previously distributed cash assistance.
Palestine Refugees from Lebanon enrolled in the Social Safety Net Programme (SSNP) and the additional vulnerable persons (children, elderly, persons with disability, chronically ill) will receive $30 per person for January, February, and March 2024. UNRWA will continue to engage efforts to raise sufficient funds for future rounds of cash assistance, and still aims to pay $50 per person for eligible refugees. In the meantime, we ask the Palestine refugee community for their understanding of the Agency’s resource limitations in these very challenging times. We are critically aware of the hardship experienced every day by so many.
For Palestine refugees from Syria (PRS), sufficient funds were secured to disburse cash assistance for the months of March and April, in the amount of $25 per person per month and $60 per family per month.
The Agency is however pleased to announce that cash distribution will start in the first week of April, before the Eid Holiday. Further details on exact dates to be communicated in the coming days.
