- مشرف البناء في الكتيبة الكورية باسل بدوي، يحتفل بالذكرى السنوية العاشرة للعمل مع الكتيبة
• في العشرين من تشرين الثاني / نوفمبر احتفل السيد باسل بدوي، الذي يعمل كمشرف في مجال البناء مع الكتيبة الكورية العاملة ضمن قوات اليونيفيل، بالذكرى السنوية العاشرة للعمل مع الكتيبة بحضور زملائه .
• بدأ السيد بدوي العمل مع الكتيبة الكورية في 20 نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني عام 2007. ومنذ ذلك الحين باشر القيام بواجبات متعددة مثل الإشراف على بناء مشاريع التعاون المدني والعسكري، أبحاث السوق، الترجمة للسكان المحليين، ودعم الأحداث الهامة التي حصلت في الوحدة ,و قد كان دائما حاضرا عندما تدعو الحاجة الى وجوده.
• وخلال السنوات العشر التي قضاها مع الكتيبة الكورية، أشرف السيد بدوي على وجه الخصوص، على بناء 447 مشروعا في منطقة عمليات اليونيفيل وعمل كهمزة وصل تربط بين السكان المحليين والجنود الكوريين.
• لعب السيد بدوي دورا رئيسيا في المشاريع التي طلبها السكان مثل استبدال 6 آلاف كلم من الأنابيب و 28860 كلم من أرصفة الطرق, وصيانة مكاتب حكومية في خمسة بلدات (طير دبا، العباسية، برج رحال، شبريحا، البرغلية ) تقديم معدات للتخلص من النفايات إلى كل بلدة، ما مجموعه 199 مشروعا. وفي الآونة الأخيرة بذل جهده الكبير في مشروع تبلغ مدته 3 سنوات وذلك من أجل إنارة الشوارع بالطاقة الشمسية في كل بلدة.
• كما ساهم في رعاية أحلام أطفال المدارس اللبنانية من خلال مشاركته في 146 مشروعا لدعم المدارس مثل انشاء صفوف الحاسوب في 13 مدرسة وبناء ملاعب في مدرسة البرغلية الرسمية ومدرسة النور ومدرسة المنصورة القاسمية.
• من خلال مشاركته في 84 مشروعا لدعم الجيش اللبناني، ساهم في تعزيز القدرات القتالية للقوات المسلحة اللبنانية. ولم يشارك في المشاريع الواقعة في داخل نطاق عمليات الكتيبة فحسب، بل ساهم بنشاط وفاعلية في مشاريع مشتركة بالتعاون مع الكتائب الأخرى والتي تقع خارج منطقة عمليات الكتيبة الكورية مثل مشروع إنشاء معمل معالجة النفايات في دير قانون النهر وإنشاء محطة لتكرير مياه الشرب في معروب، وصيانة غرفة مولد الكهرباء لمشروع اعادة تدوير المهملات في خربة سلم مما أسهم في كل من إنجاح عمليات التعاون العسكري – المدني للكتيبة الكورية خاصةً وتنمية لبنان عامةً.
• أعد قائد الكتيبة الكورية العقيد جين تشول هو وزملاء السيد باسل حفلة مفاجئة له للاحتفال بالذكرى السنوية العاشرة لعمله مع الكتيبة الكورية. وقد قال السيد بدوي "لقد مضيت عشر سنوات منذ أن بدأت العمل لأول مرة مع الكتيبة الكورية الأولى، والآن إنها الكتيبة التاسعة عشرة، وخلال هذا الوقت كنت سعيدا للقيام بعمل مع الكوريين". وذهب إلى القول "خلال عشر سنوات شعرت بأن الكتيبة الكورية دائما تعتني بنا وتعاملنا مثل الأصدقاء. الكتيبة الكورية هي "حبيبي".
• شارك النقيب كيم يو تشان الذي يعمل مع السيد بدوي أيضا باالحفلة وقال: "باسل هو زميل مجتهد ودؤوب وصديق ودود ، لقد كنت سعيدا بالعمل معه، وأتمنى له أن يعمل دائمًا معنا في الكتيبة الكورية ".
• قام قائد الكتيبة الكورية العقيد جين تشول هو بتهنئة السيد بدوي على عمله خلال العشر سنوات وقال: "إن الكتيبة الكورية قد أتمت عشر سنوات في لبنان، وقد أشاد بها السكان المحليون و لقبوها بـ "هبة من الله" وقد لعب بدوي دورا رئيسيا في حصولنا على هذا الثناء ". وقال ايضا " إنني أتطلع إلى مزيد من نشاطه فى المستقبل ".
10 Years with the Korean Contingent, Korean Contingent is my ‘habibi’
-Korean Contingent’s Construction Supervisor Bassel Badawi, celebrates 10th anniversary of working with the Korean Contingent-
• Mr Bassel Badawi, who has been working as a construction supervisor with the Korean Contingent to UNIFIL, celebrated his 10th anniversary of working there with his colleagues on the 20th of November.
• Mr Badawi has been working with the Korean Contingent from the 20th of November 2007. Since the first contingent he has continued to do his duties such as supervising construction of civil-military cooperation projects, market research, interpreting for locals, supporting important events in the unit and other activities when needed.
• In particular, during his 10 years with the Korean Contingent Mr Badawi has supervised construction of 447 projects in UNIFIL's area of responsibility and acted as a key intermediary between the Lebanese residents and Korean soldiers
• He has played a driving role in projects requested by the residents such as replacing 6000 km of pipes, 28,860km of road paving construction, maintenance of government offices in 5 villages (Dibbah, Abbasiyah, Burj Rahhal, Shabriha, Burghulliyah), provision of waste management equipment to each village, a total of 199 projects. Recently he has been a tremendous asset in the 3 year project to install solar powered streetlights in each village.
• Furthermore, he has contributed to nurturing the dreams of Lebanese school children by his participation in 146 school support projects such as installing computer classes in 13 schools and building playgrounds in Burghulliyah Public School, Al Nur School and Casimiyah Mansura School.
• Moreover, by taking part in 84 projects to support the Lebanese Army he has contributed to strengthening the combat capabilities of the Lebanese Armed Forces. He has participated in projects outside the Korean Contingent's Area of Responsibility such as Deir Qanoun Alnaher Water Treatment Facilities, Maroub water pipe connection construction, Kherbet Selem recycling center's generator room. These projects have not only been joint civil-military cooperation projects but have also contributed greatly to the development of Lebanon and the Korean Contingent's civil-military operations.
• The Commander of the Korean Contingent Colonel Chulho JIN and other colleagues held a surprise party to celebrate the 10th anniversary. Mr Badawi said "10 years have gone by since I first started working for the 1st Korean Contingent and now it is already the 19th Contingent, and during that time I was happy to do meaningful work with the Koreans". He went on to say "During my 10 years I felt that the Korean Contingent has always looked after us and treated us like friends. The Korean Contingent is my habibi".
• External Cooperation Officer Captain Yuchan PARK who works with Mr Badawi also celebrated the 10th anniversary today and he said "Bassel is a hardworking and diligent colleague and a warm friend, I was happy to work alongside him, Bassel will always work together with the Korean Contingent as our friend."
• The Commander of the Korean Contingent Colonel Chulho JIN said that he congratulated Mr Badawi on his 10 years of work and said "The Korean Contingent has completed 10 years in Lebanon and has been praised as a'gift from God' by the residents, Mr Badawi has played a major role in allowing us to receive this praise". He also said "I look forward to his activity in the future"
